Pop-Tarts make your head swell up

Lately, TV commercials send mixed messages. Companies try to find clever ways to say “you want this product” but end up saying something else. Here, I examine three commercials: Sears Optical: dog days Supposed to be “you want glasses” Comes across as “you want to switch to premium dog food” Sears Optical: raccoon Supposed to be “you want glasses” Comes across as “you want an exotic pet” Pop-Tarts: dancer Supposed to be “you want toaster pastries, which are made for fun” Comes across as “toaster pastries will give your body the proportions of a super-deformed hydrocephalic freak”
